Amagansett Dunes - Addition
Additional floor while respecting guidelines
In Uptown's first Hamptons venture, we expanded an existing two-bedroom, 1,200 sq ft residence by adding two more bedrooms, one and a half baths, and 600 sq ft of interior space without triggering town rules for HERS or septic upgrades. A roof deck with a firepit offers a peek-a-boo view of the ocean. Sculptural in style, the project, which I designed, was completed in just seven months during the 2020 Covid lockdowns.

Expert Design Strategy: Bill's careful design planning ensured the project complied with local regulations, including the town's HERS, septic, and pyramid rules, avoiding costly delays and challenges.

Seamless Subcontractor Coordination: Successfully managed a diverse team of subcontractors, including specialists in framing, metal work, carpentry, plumbing, electric, siding, roofing, flooring, stucco, and various material vendors, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality results.

Adaptation to COVID-19 Regulations: Navigated and operated effectively within the constraints of COVID-19 regulations, coordinating multiple vendors while maintaining project timelines and safety standards.

Unforeseen Adjustments: Proactively handled unexpected challenges, including replacing 100% of the flooring and 80% of the pre-existing sheetrock, ensuring the project continued smoothly despite deviations from the original budget and scope.
