Full Reconstruction & Modernization
This Upper West Side townhouse triplex underwent a full design, demolition, and reconstruction, converting an outdated 80s design into a more open loft-style space. We modernized the entry and office, opened the second floor, and added a split-level bath/office in the extension, along with a new bath, laundry, and two bedrooms. Throughout the project, I accommodated the tenant needed to continue living in the garden unit.

Creative Design Adjustments: Bill oversaw necessary adjustments to the design, including raising floor heights in certain areas to provide more ceiling space in the bathroom, and combining two outdated half bathrooms into one spacious full bathroom.

Master Bedroom & Space Optimization: Redesigned the master bedroom by incorporating the former walk-in closet to expand the room's size and enhance its functionality, while optimizing space across the entire layout, including the kitchen and cabinetry, to create a more cohesive and livable design.

Comprehensive Design & Contractor Management: Led the full design process, from kitchen layout to cabinetry, and successfully coordinated with multiple subcontractors and suppliers to ensure all work was completed to the highest standards and on time.

Problem-Solving Under Pressure: When an unforeseen water line issue caused flooding in the garden-level apartment, Bill expertly managed the situation, holding the contractor accountable for all damages while ensuring the tenant’s safety and minimizing disruption.
